AUTO SHANGHAI 2007 SHOW
• First public appearance of new model range
• Seven models to feature on show stand
• First Chinese-owned international brand to exhibit on world stage
The Auto Shanghai 2007 Show will witness the public debut of NAC MG and its exciting
new model range. The company’s presence in the ‘International’ hall of the show marks
a significant first for a Chinese automotive manufacturer, with NAC MG representing the
world’s first truly International Chinese-owned automotive brand.
The stand will feature new models from the new 7- Series, 5-Series and TF range of
vehicles, while an MG SA and MGA from the brands illustrious past will provide showgoers
with a snap shot of the company’s British heritage. That very heritage remains a
fundamental element of the MG brand and will continue to play an important role in its
appeal to the international market.
Zhang Xin, General Manager of MG says: “We are devoted to building MG as an
international brand whilst keeping it true to its British roots. Our show stand has a theme that
makes reference to classic British culture and its unique appeal. The brand is all about
passion and energy, characteristics that are not only reflected in our products but also within
its people who work tirelessly for the company.”
The Shanghai Show provides a perfect platform to show off its new products and world-class
credentials to the press and public alike. The successful launch of MG is not only a reflection
of the immense amount hard work put in by all those involved in the project but is also a
reflection the continuing success of the entire Chinese automotive industry. Zhang Xin says:
“The MG project has been turned around in record time and has shown the world what a
Chinese auto maker is capable of. We are confident that this is the first stage in a new
